Concern over transmission of COVID-19: Things will go out of hand if precautionary measures not taken, HM cautions voters

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister K K Shailaja expressed concern on the transmission of COVID-19 while campaigning for local body election. The minister also warned that things would go out of hand if voters do not take precautionary measures.

The minister said all parties should adhere the directions of the health department. Meantime, the state government’s COVID prevention will benefit the LDF in the elections, she told a private channel.

3382 people contracted the disease yesterday. The results of 6055 were negative. 21 deaths were confirmed yesterday. With this, 2244 have lost their lives due to the virus. 34689 samples were examined yesterday.
