Gold smuggling case: Threat to life, 10 made witnesses under protection

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 10 will be given witnesses under protection status in connection with the case of gold smuggling via the airport. The court has made their details in discreet. The details of these witnesses will not be there in the documents in the written copies of the verdict.

The court finally approved the plea of NIA. The move comes in the wake of threat to their life. On the basis of this, the testimony of witnesses and their identity documents will not be handed over to the accused or to their lawyers.
