ALAPPUZHA: JSS state president AN Rajan has replaced senior leader KR Gowri Amma as the party's state general secretary. Rajan was elected as the general secretary during the state conference held in Alappuzha.
Party's office-bearers informed that Gowri Amma, who was suffering from ill-health, was removed from the post of general secretary at her request. Meanwhile, Gowri Amma has been given the post of state president.
Incumbent Secretary Sanjeev Somarajan has also been appointed as the Acting President. This was the first time Gowri Amma is stepping down from the post of party general secretary since the formation of the JSS in 1994.
