MALA: MK Abdul Khader, a barber from Mala, has won the first prize of Rs One crore in the Kerala Bhagyamithra lottery draw. The first prize is for the ticket numbered BA425929, which he bought from Dhanasree Agencies in Mala. The 64-year-old is running a barbershop in a building owned by Mala Juma Masjid. He came to know about his luck while checking the newspaper on Monday. Khader spends Rs 200 on a daily basis to buy lotteries from his average daily income of Rs 500. This habit started at the age of 18 and is still going on. Abdul Khader said that he had received prizes in and around Rs 10000 before.
Khader has a debt of Rs 5 lakhs after he built a house at Pallippuram in Mala. He said he wants to repay his debt. Abdul Khader's wife: Safiya. His son Askar is an employee at a footwear shop in Mala.
