Mystery shrouds death of second accused in Manzoor murder case; internal organs found damaged, says post-mortem report

KANNUR: Mystery shrouds the death of the second accused Ratheesh in the Manzoor murder case. His body was found hanging. However, the post mortem report asserted damages in his internal organs. Following the findings of the post-mortem report, the Vadakara rural SP reached the spot where the body was found and inspected it.

The statement of the doctor who conducted the post-mortem will be taken. The team investigating Manzoor murder case will reach Chekyad where he was found hanging for a detailed investigation. Ratheesh was found hanging in an isolated land on April 9.

The UDF had alleged mystery in his death. Meantime, the police arrested three more CPM activists in connection with the murder of Muslim League activist Manzoor (22) of Panoor. Aneesh (35) and Sreerag (25) and Ashwanth (29), natives of Pullookkara, were arrested yesterday. First accused Shinoz was arrested earlier.
