More oxygen can't be given to Kollam district alone; Court stays Collector's order

highcourt

KOCHI: The High Court has stayed the Collector's order asking the KMML to supply five tonnes of oxygen to the Kollam district every week. No particular district should be given priority when it comes to oxygen supply. The court directed that the oxygen supply should be regulated at the state level. The court also said that the Disaster Management Authority should ensure the availability of oxygen in hospitals.

Last week, the Kollam District Collector had directed the Chavara KMML to provide five tonnes of oxygen per week to COVID patients in the Kollam district. The High Court stayed the order on a petition questioning this.
