KOCHI: The division bench quashed the stay imposed by the single bench of the high court on the government order banning other state lotteries. The division bench also clarified that the state government has the power to control other state lotteries.

The government has issued an order controlling other state lotteries in the state. The single bench allowed sale to Santiago Martin's Future Game Solutions Company in Palakkad against this. The state government had approached the division bench of the high court against the order. The order was issued on it now.

The ban was imposed after the government found that other state lotteries were being traded after evading tax. The CBI also investigated it. The present verdict is a great relief to the government.
