THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan said that the BJP's connection with the quotation gangs in the Kodakara hawala money case should also be investigated. Vijayaraghavan alleged that the BJP had brought in a large amount of black money in the elections and that it was a move to sabotage the democratic process.

"Those appearing for questioning in the case arrive in the BJP's car. The ruling party in the country believing they can do anything with the backing of money is a threat to democracy. The Election Commission should be prepared to take appropriate action in case it becomes clear that the unaccounted money has been misappropriated in order to use in the election", he added.

"The stance taken by the Directorate of Enforcement in this case, which is fighting the state government on baseless allegations, is astonishing. The ED has been in hiding from the outset because it is clear that the BJP's top brass are involved", he said.

Vijayaraghavan also demanded that a comprehensive and detailed inquiry be conducted into the incident and that the culprits be brought to justice.
