Rima Kallingal protests for giving ONV literary award to Vairamuthu, 17 women had lodged complaints against him for sexual abuse

Actress Rima Kallingal showered harsh criticisms for giving the ONV literary award to poet and lyricist Vairamuthu. She in a Facebook post mentioned that 17 women had lodged complaints against him for sexual abuse. She showed her protest by sharing the press release of ONV cultural academy.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is the chief patron of the panel chaired by director Adoor Gopalakrishnan. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh, a citation and a plaque.

Actress Parvathy, Geethu Mohandas, singer Chinmayi and many others criticised the act.
