Kerala records 16,204 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 16,204 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 15,048 persons developed the disease through contact, including 928 cases without an identified source of infection. 154 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 74 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday. A person who came from UK tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

20,237 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,39,064 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 156 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 10,437.
