Student and relative die after bike gets stuck under tipper

MUKKAM: A student and a young relative were killed when their bike fell under a tipper truck while returning home after buying textbooks from school. The deceased have been identified as Agastiamuzhi native Ananthu Krishna (21) and his uncle's daughter Sneha (14).

The incident took place near Kuttipala Ayyappankavu on the West Mambatta-Mukkam bypass around 12 noon yesterday. Eyewitnesses said that the bike went under the truck when Ananthu tried to overtake the truck. Both Ananthu and Sneha died instantly as they were run over by the rear wheel of the truck.
