Centre prepares to face third wave of Covid, more health workers to be trained

NEW DELHI: The Union Ministry of Health has stepped up preparations to deal with a possible third wave of Covid. As part of this, the government has decided to train more health workers and expand them across the country. The government aims to train about one lakh health workers. For this, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under the central government will launch a special training program.

For this, training centers will be set up in 194 districts in 28 states. The central plan is to start a total of 300 skill centers. The government also plans to provide more training to existing health workers.
