Kerala records 7499 COVID cases on Monday, test positivity rate at 9.63; 94 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 7499 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 6835 persons developed the disease through contact, including 529 cases without an identified source of infection. 47 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 38 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

13,596 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 99,693 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 94 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 12,154.

Thiruvananthapuram 963, Ernakulam 926, Thrissur 820, Kollam 810, Palakkad 710, Malappuram 689, Kozhikode 563, Alappuzha 451, Kannur 434, Kasaragod 319, Pathanamthitta 298, Kottayam 287, Wayanad 114, Idukki 65.

77,853 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 9.63.
