THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan has accused the Kerala government of underreporting the Covid deaths in the state. Taking it to Facebook, Muraleedharan said that the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government had been projecting figures ever since the pandemic began. While stating that Kerala was the only state that uses the death toll, funeral protocol, and inspections as a weapon for political gain, Muraleedharan added that the state had been projecting a fabricated figure in order to protect its "Number One" tag.

'Communist politics, which blows away the responsibilities of the rulers towards the citizens and the nation, is putting Kerala in great danger, Muraleedharan added. He also pointed out that the relatives of those who have been left out of the death toll will be denied their rights from the central government.
