'Insulted modesty of woman, remarks of sexual nature': Court directs to file case against Harish Vasudevan

PALAKKAD: A court directed to file a case against lawyer Harish Vasudevan based on a complaint filed by the mother of the Walayar girls. SC and ST Special Court in Palakkad's Mannarkkad has issued this order against Harish Vasudevan.

The court directed to file a case against Harish Vasudevan under the sections of insulting the modesty of a woman and making remarks of sexual nature. In addition, various provisions of the SC and ST Act have been imposed.

The mother of the Walayar girls had approached the court alleging that Harish Vasudevan had posted defamatory remarks about her on social media during the last election. The complainant had informed the court that she had lodged a complaint with the police but approached the court as no action was taken.
