21-year-old dies in Kasargod days after taking Covid jab

KASARGOD: A woman died after taking the Covid-19 vaccine in Kasargod. She developed uneasiness soon after taking the jab and was under treatment. She has been identified as Renjitha of Vavadukkam in Kasargod. She received the first dose of Covishield vaccine on August 3 from Bedadka taluk hospital.

She was admitted at a private hospital in Kannur after she complained of fever and vomiting. An examination revealed a blood clot in her brain. Although she was subjected to a surgery, her life could not be saved.

Experts opined that one in a million people will have these discomforts. 21-year-old Ranjitha was waiting for MSW admissions.
