Ambulance meets with accident, patient dies, three injured

ALAPPUZHA: A Covid patient died after an ambulance transporting her met with an accident at Erammallur in Alappuzha. The deceased has been identified as Thirumullavaram native Sheela P Pillai (65). The accident took place on Saturday morning. The ambulance went out of control and hit a tree.

The accident took place while Sheela was being transported from Kollam to a private hospital in Kochi. Sheela's son Dr. Manjunath and his wife Devika were also in the ambulance. They and driver Santhosh were injured in the accident.
