Vayalar award for Benyamin

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Writer Benyamin has won this year's Vayalar Ramavarma Memorial Literary Award for his work 'Manthalirile 20 Communist Varshangal'. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a bronze sculpture designed by Kanayi Kunhiraman. The panel of judges consisted of Dr George Onakkoor, KR Meera and Dr C Unnikrishnan.

The award will be presented at a function that will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on the evening of October 27, the death anniversary of Vayalar Ramavarma.
