Chirayinkeezhu honour attack: Police arrest doctor who brutally attacked sister's husband

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have arrested Dr. Danish George, who attacked his sister's husband for refusing to convert. Danish was arrested from a resort in Ooty. The police had launched an extensive search for the culprit soon after the video footage of the incident surfaced. Danish was traced with the help of the cyber cell by tracking his mobile phone tower location.

Police will bring Danish to Thiruvananthapuram today or tomorrow. Danish's sister Deepti (22) and Mithun Krishna (29) got married at the Bonacaud temple on October 28 after a two-year-long love affair. On the 29th, they went to the police station and informed that they got married. Following this, Danish met the couple and took them to the church saying that he would talk to his family and get them married. Later, he demanded that Mithun should either convert or withdraw from the marriage. Danish attacked Mithun after he refused to agree to his demands.
