Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to visit Mofiya's house today

ALUVA: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will visit the house of Mofiya Parveen, who committed suicide following domestic violence. He will arrive at Mofiya's house in Aluva at 2 pm. The governor had come out against the dowry months ago.

Earlier, the governor had visited the house of Vismaya, who committed suicide following dowry harassment in Kollam. Although Kerala is ahead in many areas, trends like dowry persist in the state. The governor had said that girls should come forward boldly to say no to marriages that involve dowry. He had said that there should be collective action against dowry in Kerala.
