uae

DUBAI: The UAE has suspended entry for travellers coming from four African countries starting from today due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19. The country has suspended entry for passengers from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Nigeria. The ban came into effect from 7.30 am today.

The decision covers all inbound flights for national and international carriers and transit passengers and includes people who were in any of the four countries in the 14 days prior to their planned arrival in the Emirates.

However, flights from UAE to these countries will continue to operate. Diplomats, Golden Visa holders, UAE nationals and family members have been exempted from the restrictions. These people are required to produce a negative Covid test obtained within 48 hours of departure and a Rapid-PCR test at the airport within 6 hours of departure.
