Keralites consume liquor of Rs 65 crore on Christmas Eve, more consumption in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Keralites consumed nearly 65 crore worth of alcohol on Christmas Eve. There was a record sale of liquor at Bevco for Christmas. There was a surge of Rs 10 crore from last year. The Power House outlet in Thiruvananthapuram had the highest sale of liquor. Liquor of Rs 73 lakh was sold at the Power House outlet.

Chalakudy is just behind. Liquor of Rs 70.72 lakh was sold here. The Beverages Corporation has 265 liquor stores. Thrissur sold liquor of Rs 63 lakh, 80/19 number shop in Iringalakuda is in the third place.
