THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per cop's assumption, the murder of his daughter's friend by a man in Pettah was not due to sudden provocation but due to a previous feud. Simon Lalan, who killed Aneesh George, did not like Aneesh's friendship with his eldest daughter and his association with his family. There have been problems regarding this before. Despite this, Lalan's wife and children continued their friendship with Aneesh. The police have collected CCTV footage of Lalan's wife and children visiting a shopping mall with Aneesh and having food on Tuesday. The court has remanded Lalan.
The end came as he was about to go to the UK
Aneesh George's parents say their son was brutally murdered as he was leaving for the UK in April to study.
He prepared all the papers needed to study BBA in the UK. He also received his passport and was waiting for the loan. He wanted to take good care of his family and it ended like this - says parents Dolly and George.
"On the morning of the day of the incident, a phone call came to Aneesh's mobile from the girl's house. We have proof of that. It is not known when Aneesh left home. He ate at 11 pm and slept with his brother. My son will not go there unless they call. Simon Lalan would often cause problems at home. Then the girl's mother would call Aneesh. Both families are acquainted with each other. Aneesh has been to that house before. Therefore, the claim that he was stabbed on suspicion he was a thief is false. The girl's mother used to come to our house from time to time and call us regularly. My son was called when there was a problem at their home at night. He left home without telling anyone, thinking he would be scolded", Dolly said.
There are indications that the church authorities in Pallimukku had talked to both the families about the intimacy of the children. Aneesh George was stabbed to death by Simon Lalan at his house in Chayakkudi Lane in the wee hours of Wednesday.
