Rajan P Dev’s wife arrested for suicide of daughter-in-law

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police Wednesday arrested Santhamma, wife of actor Rajan P Dev for abetment of suicide. She was arrested in connection with the suicide of her daughter-in-law Priyanka.

Santhamma is the second accused in Priyanka suicide case. The police had registered a case against her under abetment to suicide and domestic violence. Rajan P Dev’s son Unni’s wife Priyanka was found dead on April 12 in 2021 at her house in Vembayam. The complaint was that she was constantly harassed for dowry. Following the complaint, Unni was arrested on May 25 in 2021.

Priyanka was staying at her own house after a fight with Unni. The complaint alleged that Unni kept on threatening her on the phone for dowry even after she reached her own home. Santhamma who was produced in Nedumangad SP office will be released on bail.
