THRISSUR: The Archdiocese of Thrissur came down heavily on the congress. The party is digging its own grave and the leaders are fighting and helping the BJP. They criticised the congress in the article ‘Is Congress moving away from the national alternative’ in the new issue of the diocese’ mouthpiece Catholicasabha.
The lesson learned from the results of five places is that the Aam Aadmi Party have owned the status of BJP's national alternative.
Rahul Gandhi's stance and methods are double-standard. The people will not accept it. Success cannot be achieved just because Gandhi is in the name. Lack of leadership and infighting are a disgrace to the Congress itself. If not recognized yet, the election results suggest that India will have to deviate from democratic secular values and enter the Sangh Parivar's new Hindustan.
The opposition leadership and hope for a national alternative were lost from the Congress. The article also pointed out that the Congress, which has a history of Indian democracy, is now a mere spectator.
