Sexual assault during marriage; HC grants anticipatory bail for make-up artist Aneez Ansari

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has granted anticipatory bail to noted bridal make-up artist Aneez Ansari in sexual assault cases. He was granted anticipatory bail in four cases. He should pay Rs one lakh each as bail amount. He was granted bail on condition that he should appear before the Palarivattom police station for four days from Wednesday. The high court has ruled that Aneez Ansari should not be questioned in custody. He should produce his passport at the police station and has been directed not to try to influence the investigation.

The Palarivattom police has registered cases against Aneez Ansari, a native of Chakkaraparambu in Ernakulam. The case was registered on the complaint of women that he sexually assaulted them while applying make-up during their marriage time. The police registered a case soon after a MeToo post against the make-up artist.
