NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his three - day European tour tomorrow. Modi, who is scheduled to visit Europe on May 2, will hold talks with top leaders. He will meet eight world leaders from seven countries. Apart from this, he will also meet global business leaders and Indian expatriates. He is visiting three countries: Germany, Denmark and France. Modi's Europe visit holds importance amid the Russia-Ukraine war.
Prime Minister Modi is visiting Germany to attend the sixth India-Germany Inter Governmental Consultations(IGC). He will also meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since Scholz became German Chancellor. In Paris, Modi will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, who won a landslide victory in the presidential election. The Ukraine conflict will be a major topic of discussion at the leaders' meeting. In addition, Modi will interact with over 50 global industry leaders. During his Europe visit, Modi will spend one night each in Germany and Denmark and two nights on flight.
