THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person dies of electric shock from a wire fence set up to kill wild boar in Vithura. The deceased was identified as a middle-aged man of about 65 years old. A similar incident happened in Palakkad the other day.

The incident took place in Nazir Mohammad's property near Lakshmi Estate in Memala, Vithura. The wire fence which was attached to a wooden block was wrapped around the body of the deceased. As per police assumption, death was due to electric shock. Wild boar menace is severe in the area, so electricity was passed through the wire to prevent this. This is what caused the accident. The body has been shifted to the Medical College Hospital.
