Vijay Babu to reach Kerala on May 30, produces return ticket in court

KOCHI: Vijay Babu, actor and producer, who is hiding abroad in the case of sexually abusing an actress, is all set to return. He will return to Kerala on May 30, his lawyer informed the court.

Vijay Babu, who was in Georgia returned to Dubai the other day. He is returning to Kerala from here. His lawyer had produced a copy of his flight ticket from Dubai to Kochi. His lawyer requested the court to consider his anticipatory bail plea tomorrow.

The actor had earlier informed to appear before the police on May 19. However, he tried to continue abroad till he gets bail. However, that attempt did not happen due to the intervention of the court.

Justice P Gopinath said let him first come under the jurisdiction of the court and then will consider his bail plea. The passport of Vijay Babu, who was absconding, was cancelled. It was then Vijay Babu decided to return home. He is returning with the special permission of the embassy.
