Thief enters temple, flees with fruits kept for Ganapati homam

KATTAKADA: There has been another theft at Kattakada Aamachal Thrikkanjirapuram Mahadeva Temple. This time the robbery was committed after entering the chuttambalam using a ladder and a rope. He fled with Rs 2000 got for archanas and fruits including apples, grapes and coconuts kept for the Ganpathi Homam on Monday. Kattakada police reached the spot and conducted an inspection. Fingerprint experts arrived and collected evidence. The theft was noticed Monday morning when the employees came to open the temple. Seeing the ladder and rope outside, they inspected and noticed the theft.

After entering the temple premises, the thief leaned a ladder on the wall and then tied a rope and entered the temple. All things were found scattered in the office room. The main door was broken and robbed months ago. This temple was robbed several times earlier. The idols were damaged and the lamps were found broken at the Mangalakkal Kombadikal temple the other day and three cameras were found stolen. The Kattakada police have launched an investigation.
