SHIMLA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday received a special gift during his visit to Himachal Pradesh. While attending a roadshow in Shimla, the Prime Minister saw a girl holding a painting of his mother Heeraben in the crowd. Following this, the Prime Minister stopped his car and approached the girl.
"What is your name? Where do you live? How many days did you take to make this painting?" he asked the girl. The girl replied that her name was Anu and that she was from Shimla. She added that she made the painting of Heeraben in one day. She also informed Prime Minister that she had made a painting of him that was sent to him through the Deputy Commissioner's office. Anu then sought the blessings of PM Modi by touching his feet of PM Modi. Modi continued his journey after blessing the girl.

The Prime Minister arrived in Shimla this morning to attend the Garib Kalyan Sammelan. The Prime Minister today announced schemes worth over Rs 21,000 crore to 10 crore beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN).
