Shaj Kiran having ties with BJP? Pics with Sandeep Warrier surface; attends feast of Karnataka Minister

KOCHI: There are indications that Shaj Kiran, friend of Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, has links with the BJP. A private channel released the picture of Shaj Kiran posing with BJP state spokesperson Sandeep Warrier.

The picture released was that of Shaj Kiran and Sandeep Warrier holding a meeting with Karnataka Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar. The meeting took place in September 2021. The two attended the party hosted at the minister's residence.

The party leadership has received a complaint against Sandeep Warrier over the relationship with Shaj Kiran. It is reported that the Karnataka minister has also lodged a complaint against Sandeep Warrier. The private channel reported that the party has imposed restrictions to Sandeep Warrier following the complaint.
