THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A person interrogated on the suspicion of being a suspect in the AKG Centre attack has been arrested in another case. The Cantonment police arrested Riju, a construction worker and a native of Thiruvananthapuram Anthiyoorkonam, under non-bailable sections for sharing Facebook post mentioning that he would pelt stones at AKG Centre. Riju was summoned to the commissioner's office and questioned. However, the police believed that he has nothing to do with the incident.

Meantime, the police are groping in the dark without getting any clues about the accused even two days after the attack on the CPM state committee office. The police found that another person was involved in helping the first accused. The team found the second person’s involvement after verifying the CCTV visuals. In the CCTV footage, the second suspect who arrived in a scooter was seen handing over a packet suspected to be the explosive to the first person. It has also been found that he was using a red coloured scooter. The main culprit had also observed the place a few minutes before the attack. The police said these vital clues were collected from the visuals at Kunnukuzhy area. The police had examined nearly 70 CCTV cameras. However, no hints were obtained from any others. The phone calls of those who were in the place are also being examined.
