THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 'Ente Bhoomi' portal set up by the Revenue Department as part of the Digital Resurvey will start functioning by the end of this month. This is also a part of bringing the services of revenue, survey and registration departments under a single portal system. NIC (National Informatics Centre) is in charge of implementation. The information collected in this can be used by other departments as well. The portal will be complete with the survey department also going digital.
Digital resurvey will be conducted in 1550 out of 1666 villages in four years. Information will be made available on the portal as soon as the resurvey is completed.

Land-related details on the portal can be used by other departments as well. Example: If the agriculture department is planning to implement a new project, it can know the topography of the decided area, availability of other facilities, proximity to roads and water bodies etc from the portal. More useful for animal husbandry, disaster management, public works and irrigation departments.
