Murder attempt case against EP Jayarajan: Youth Congress activists not to appear for giving statement

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Youth Congress activists Farzeen Majeed and Naveen Kumar informed the SHO of Valiyathira police that they would not appear to give statements in the murder attempt case against EP Jayarajan. They told the police that they will not appear to testify as the bail conditions in the murder attempt case against the Chief Minister stated that they should not enter the Thiruvananthapuram district. Farzeen and Naveen were asked to appear on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Youth Congress activists had complained that EP Jayarajan, Chief Minister's personal staff member Suneesh and gunman Anil Kumar assaulted them inside the flight. Later, a case was registered against EP Jayarajan on this complaint. Initially, the police had registered a case only against the Youth Congress activists. Although the opposition demanded that a case be registered against Jayarajan as well, the police refused to register the case.
