NEW DELHI: The protest of the opposition MPs suspended for creating a commotion in the Parliament against price hike is continuing. In the meanwhile, the BJP came forward with the allegation that protesting MPs consumed tandoori chicken in front of the Gandhi statue. BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala questioned eating chicken in front of Gandhi's statue. It is alleged that roti, dal, paneer and tandoori chicken were served to the protestors.
The BJP leader questioning the act of the MPs eating tandoori chicken in front of Gandhi asked if it was a protest or a picnic. Meantime, the suspended MPs sit-in protest is continuing. The opposition planned a 50-hour relay protest. The protest which started at 11 am on Wednesday ended at 1 pm today. Presently 27 MPs have been suspended. The Speaker took action after the opposition MPs created an uproar demanding a discussion on the price rise and GST.
