Samantha buys house where she used to live with Naga Chaitanya

CHENNAI: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has bought the house in which she used to live with her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya. The news was shared by Tamil actor Murali Mohan. The actor was responding to rumors that Naga Chaitanya had given the house to Samantha as alimony.

“Samantha and Chaitanya sold their house and bought an independent house. They still lived in their old house as remodeling work was underway at their new property. When they parted ways, Samantha came back to me and offered to buy back the house. She said she didn’t feel comfortable and safe elsewhere. Samantha offered a higher price and bought the property back. She now lives with just her mother”, said Murali Mohan.

The actor said that the couple’s separation was a shocker for him too. "Samantha and Naga Chaitanya were a perfect couple. We never heard them fight. They used to spend hours together at the gym working out. We never faced issues like them bringing their friends home, blasting loud music and partying. They were very quiet. Unfortunately, I never dreamed of them separating. I was shocked when I got to know about that”, he added.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya fell in love while acting together in the film Ye Maaya Chesave, released in 2010. Following which, the duo got divorced in October 2017. The couple announced their divorce in a joint statement ahead of their fourth wedding anniversary in 2021.
