'Reluctance to treat women as equals is a primitive attitude'; Speaker responds to M K Muneer's remark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker M B Rajesh has responded to M K Muneer MLA's statement on gender equality. The Speaker responded that the statements which mocks and insults the concept of gender equality from responsible elected representatives was unfortunate and disappointing. In a Facebook post, the Speaker also mentioned that the attitude which hesitates to treat women as equals in Kerala has to be described as primitive.

"It is undemocratic to dictate to students that we will decide your costume when the students choose it as per their will," he wrote in the post.
