Malappuram natives arrested for smuggling gold worth Rs 1 crore in the form of chicken eggs

NEDUMABASSERY: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has recovered gold worth Rs 1 crore, which was smuggled illegally via Cochin International Airport. Two Malappuram natives, namely Abdul Gafur and Abdul Rasheed, were nabbed in connection with the incident. A total of 1968 gram of gold has been seized from them. Both of them are passengers, who came to Kochi from Kuala Lumpur. The gold was in the form of chicken eggs and was hidden inside their anus. The DRI had conducted the investigation on the basis of secret information.
