Woman run over by overspeeding Jaguar car driven by 19-year-old

KOLKATA: A pedestrian met with a tragic end when she was run over by a Jaguar car driven by a 19-year-old youth. The deceased has been identified as Picnic Garden native Shashti Das (45).

According to the police, the speeding car ran over Shashti Das while she was crossing the road. She died on the spot. The body is currently kept at the mortuary of a government hospital. Witnesses said that the car had rammed into two other cars before hitting Shashti Das. Police have arrested Suyash Parasrampuria, who drove the car.
