CHENNAI: Superstar Rajinikanth has denied rumors that he will launch a new political party. The 71-year-old actor said that his immediate plan was to act in his upcoming film 'Jailer.' Rajinikanth clarified all the rumors while speaking to the media after his meeting with Governor RN Ravi today.

When queried whether he was planning to make a comeback into politics, Rajinikanth directly said "No." He also replied to a question about whether he and the governor discussed anything about politics or the upcoming parliamentary elections.

"We talked a lot about politics. However, I cannot reveal anything to the media. The governor likes the spirituality and beliefs in Tamil Nadu. He promised he will do everything in his power for the benefit of the people of Tamil Nadu," he said.
