THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ruling CPM has expressed discontent over the functioning of the state government. Criticism was raised in the CPM state committee that the activities of the government are not efficient and the constant lapses on the part of the officials and the police are adversely affecting the government and the party.

It has been criticized that the current ministers are nowhere close to the first Pinarayi government and instead of taking their own decisions, the ministers are waiting for the Chief Minister's decision on all matters. The leaders, who alleged that some ministers cannot be contacted even when called on the phone, added that the current ministers are moving away from the people. It was also alleged that some ministers are even reluctant to travel.
