Aamir Khan's latest film 'Laal Singh Chaddha', directed by Advait Chandan, has received a rather cold response at the box office. The movie, an official remake of the Hollywood classic 'Forrest Gump', also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya.

The film, which faced boycott calls from netizens, managed to collect only around Rs 10 crore on its first day. This was way below the first-day collection of Aamir's previous film Thugs of Hindostan. On the second day, the revenue fell by 40 percent compared to the first day. Several shows of the film were also cancelled.

Now Aamir has come up urging people to come to the theatres to watch the film. He pointed out that the film won't be released on OTT platforms for six months. "OTT platforms are not a challenge for cinema. However, it is a challenge for Bollywood. I believe that people have lost the enthusiasm to go to theatres. We see several films releasing on OTT soon after their theatrical release. So I always try to keep a gap of six months between the theatrical release and OTT release of my films," the actor said.
