ZURICH: India's Olympic gold medalist in Javelin throw Neeraj Chopra finished first in Lausanne Diamond League Athletics. Neeraj finished first with a throw of 89.8 meters. It was his first match after recovering from injury.
The athlete became successful in the first attempt. Neeraj Chopra is the first Indian to top the Diamond League. With this achievement, Neeraj has qualified for the Diamond League Big Finals to be held in Zurich on September 7 and the World Athletics Championships to be held in Hungary next year. Czech athlete Jakub is on second place with a throw of 85.88 meters and Curtis Thompson of US on the third place with a throw of 83.72 meters.
