Heavy rain; trains running late due to faulty signals in Ernakulam

Kochi: Due to heavy rain in Ernakulam district, the railway tracks became waterlogged. Railway signals and junction signals stopped working. Many long-distance trains got delayed. Jan Shatabdi has been diverted to go via Alappuzha. Most trains will be delayed today and some will be diverted via Alappuzha. Railway officials also informed that long distance trains are getting delayed.

Change in timing

Train 16650 Nagercoil - Mangaluru Parashuram Express has been diverted to go via Ernakulam Town Station. Kollam-Eranakulam MEMU will stop its service at Tripunithura. 12618 Nizamuddin - Ernakulam Mangala Express ended its service at Ernakulam Town station. 12081 Kannur - Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi and 17230 Secunderabad - Thiruvananthapuram Sabari will continue its service via Alappuzha.
