Bharat Biotech's intranasal Covid vaccine gets approval

NEW DELHI: Bharat Biotech's intranasal Covid vaccine has received approval from the Central Drug Standards Organization. This is the first time in India that nasal wax has been approved for immunity against Covid.

The nasal vaccine should be administered to persons over eighteen years of age who have received two doses of Covishield or any other Covid vaccine. Its clinical trial was approved last January. Subsequently, the clinical trial was completed on June 19. The experiment was conducted on 4000 people.

So far, no side effects have been reported for those who have received the nasal vaccine.
