kk

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The students of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El. Ed) 2020-22 batch are worried that the course will be prolonged and the examination will be delayed. According to the circular of the Education Department, the two-year D.El.Ed course will end on October 15. UG admission processes in colleges have been completed. The authorities said that since the fourth semester examination has not started, TC cannot be given for undergraduate studies. Due to covid, the class which was supposed to start in July 2020 started only in January 2021. The students complain that they are losing a year due to the negligence of the authorities.

The National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) rule requires 200 working days. SCERT officials say that 200 working days will be completed only in October, even if the summer vacation is avoided. In the current situation, the final exam scheduled to be held from October 7th to 15th October is also in trouble. SCERT has not even received the order to prepare the question paper.
