THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Renowned film director Adoor Gopalakrishnan said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should have received Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra, at the Kerala border. Adoor was talking to a group led by Youth Congress state president Shafi Parambil who sought support for the Bharat Jodo Yatra and invited him to hold direct talks with Rahul Gandhi.

Adoor said that fascism can be defeated only if political parties who believe in secularism, democracy and socialism stand together.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Kerala tomorrow. The Yatra is arranged in such a way that Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, will tour Thiruvananthapuram district on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th and enter Kollam district on the 14th in the afternoon.
