THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday alleged that the central government is trying to implement its interest by using the governors and that is what is happening in Kerala now. He was inaugurating the 64th Annual Conference of Kerala Legislature Secretariat Staff Association at Ayyankali Hall.
"The LDF has stated that the goal of the government is the ultimate development of the state. Both the UDF and the BJP have come together to stop that development. It is unfortunate that a 'gentleman', who has the constitutional right to call the Kerala government his own government, joining them by saying 'You are not alone, I am also there'. The people of Kerala are seeing and understanding all this, no matter which gentleman joins against this government. Such people should understand that the people will adopt a position accordingly. It is heard that this gentleman is soon going to enter politics. He said that he will be coming down to the people. We can assume that he will be our opponent in the coming Lok Sabha elections. We are welcoming it," the CM said. He also accused the central government of trying to squeeze Kerala financially by snatching its revenue.
