AKG Centre attack: Accused brought to collect evidence secretly, hints obtained on scooter used for attack

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The crime branch brought Jithin, accused in the case of attacking AKG Centre, to collect evidence Monday early morning. He was brought early morning following security issues. The accused was not brought to the AKG Centre in a police vehicle.


The crime branch said the accused told them that he threw the clothes he wore at the time of the incident in a lake. He had earlier told them that he had destroyed them. The crime branch said they have got information about the scooter he used for the attack. Meantime, the custody period granted to the police by the court will end today. Jithin will be produced in the court today. The crime branch clarified that they will not seek the extension of his custody period.
